IT'S A GIRL!!!!
Our ultrasound today, at 19 weeks, revealed that the chances are our baby will be a girl! Yes, yes, I know... the chances are actually closer to 90% that it's a girl. If the technician would have told us it's a boy, it would've been something like 99.5%.
It was very cool to see how big the baby was compared to the last ultrasound that I got to see. I missed Jess' last one because of a job I had to go to, so it had been a while since I had seen pictures of what was going on in there. Here's a sample of what we saw. If you click on the picture below, you'll get a nice sized blow-up of it.

The head is on the left if you can't tell. And if you'll take notice... the baby has Jess' nose and overbite! Hopefully she'll have my height and good jumpshot. Basketball reference.
We got a good look at the fingers, toes, skull, bones, spine... it was truly amazing! It made me think of how lucky we are, in today's day and age, to have the technology to do this kind of stuff, whereas just a generation ago they did not. At least this time during the ultrasound, Jess didn't say the kid looked like a kitten. Yes, she did say that the first time. Needless to say, I didn't agree with her. But if she saw a kitten, she saw a kitten. Who am I to argue? Actually, I'm the father... and I don't particularly want Jess to give birth to a kitten.
I digress.
It was a wonderful day, the experience was great and now we get to start visualizing our baby girl. The name list is growing shorter by the day!
Yaphe out.
