25 Weeks!

As of yesterday, Jess is 25 weeks!

Ok, so Jess goes for her regular appointment at the hospital, and they tell her that her due date looks like it's the 26th of December. Not the 29th. So we'll see...

Jess has also been feeling some kicks down lower in her stomach so the baby might still have the feet down there. It's gotta turn around at some point, we're told, because you want the head to be down there and the feet up top. That's alright. There's plenty of time left and we're only in the 5th inning of this ball game for our little player to turn it around ;-)

Her heartburn has been picking it up a few notches, too. I guess when a baby grows, the stomach has to move somewhere, right? And what beter place than in yer throat! Yeeech. :P

1st Baby Class!

Jess is now just over 24 weeks and tonight was our first baby class at Mount Sinai Hospital... and only 5 more to go! We planned quite a while ago to take the classes with Genna (one of Jess' best friends) and her husband, Anson, so we met up for some Indian food before heading over. Here are the mothers to be.

After the bill was settled and the tummies were full (of food, not babies) we walked over to the hospital and had a very informative, 2 hour class taught by a very nice nurse/teacher. She gave an overview of what would be taught over the next 6 weeks, had us introduce ourselves to the class, had us state our concerns and objectives of what we wanted out of the classes and then we got started.

Lots of visual stuff, I'll tell you that. No movies to scare the pants off of you or anything (well not just yet... we were told that the movies would be coming next class) but it was enough just seeing how a baby is supposed to fit through the pelvic bones, and how it twists to fit through, that got my attention.

Anyway... it was a really good class. And the time flew by.

Last week I was in Montreal and Jess came up for a couple of days. Got a great shot of her on the couch with the belly showing it's stuff!

We've also been feeling some awesome summersault type of movements by the baby! Definitely different types from what we've been feeling before. It sometimes gets to the point during the night where Jess wakes me up just to feel the baby kick or move, and I have to tell her, "look, I love the baby and everything, but if it's the same 'ol moving around, I'm going to have to pass on feeling her kick this time. Get me to feel when something changes." :-)

That's it for now.
Till next time,
